Thorsmork was the ending point of our trekking.
I stayed 2 nights in Thorsmork since I joined 6 days trekking, while the group joining 5 days trekking stay only 1 night.
Like Landmanlaugar, the starting point of the trekking, there is bus stop here to Reykjavic and 2 mountain huts, located about 30 minutes walk.
We stayed in the regular mountain hut on the main trail routing.
The other hut is called Volcano Hut, privately owned and managed, with fancy and tempting facilities like Wifi, Sauna, Massage and buffet dinner.
I visited this Volcano Hut to meet the interesting father-son fellows from US, met in the previous night, and drank beer together.
Thorsmork is a pretty place, with many pretty little flowers, small streams, and snow mountains in the background.
The hut we stayed had a BBQ facility.
There are 3 shower rooms located outside, for hot water need to pay ISK 400.
