Red is review, black is planning.
Money
ATM in airports and downtown.
Generally, Iceland was quite expensive for traveling. The hostel and the food and the tour were expensive, even compared with other Scandinavian countries.

Was happy could go, especially to heal my feet after 6 days trekking.
They were doing construction for expansion at the time I was there.
Can drink beer or cocktail in the pool.
They give you an electronic plastic bracelet for entrance and purchasing inside the pool.
Place
Hallgrímskirkja
The church with extra tall tower, can be seen through out the city.
With a small fee, we could use the elevator to the observation tower for the city view.
Eat
Sægreifinn
or Sea Baron
http://saegreifinn.is/
Popular seafood BBQ small casual restaurant near the old harbour.
Lobster soup is famous.
Recently they are more touristic than before, I guess.
You choose the BBQ stick from display, order and pay in cashier, and sit and wait.
There are whale and seal meat too.
Stay
Reykjavic Downtown
http://www.hostel.is/Hostels/Reykjavikdowntown/
Downtown, just above the Old Harbour. Within walking distance from most of Reykjavík‘s monuments and attractions.
BSÍ Bus Terminal: Take bus #14 to Mýrargata bus stop or walk 20 mins. Also very close to Lækjartorg bus terminal, the stop of several other routes.
Keflavík Airport: FlyBus and Airport Express run to a schedule connecting with every flight, and will drop you off at the hostel upon request.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
10 bedded Dorm Ensuite ISK 6,150, discount ISK 700 with HI card.
Pretty basic HI style accommodation.
Loft Hostel
http://www.hostel.is/Hostels/Reykjavikloft/
Another HI hostel in the middle of downtown, along the main pedestrian street.
Quite expensive, booked on the spot (since I made mistake with the booking date) for 6 bedroom dorm for ISK 7550!
But it's quite nice with the rooftop bar with the view of the pedestrian street.
